  • Winter in the Oliver and Rust shop

The winter version of the shop all cleaned up for 2022. As fun as it is to have everything glitzed up for the holidays, the cleanup and reprieve is always so so welcome. Back to the plants. Cleaning out the closets and preparing for a new year. This year, the same as the past couple started ou...
  • Christmas 2021 at Oliver and Rust

And just like that the Christmas season came flying into our radar like a bat out of....... well you know right where that bat came from. This year has flown by quicker than most. The difference in how we need to operate, the way I need to plan and buy has made all of this year into a complete...
  • Time for a little spring walk about in the shop

We have way past officially been closed, more than open this year. As we approach the half way point to the year, it's a great time to share some photos of the space that I call a second home and to sneak in some photos of what it looks like all steady and silent waiting to hear the doorbell ring...
  • 2021, have at er. The Oliver and Rust shop for winter

Ahem..... pillows. The W...

Blogging Since 2015

This blog is written by Meg and includes tales of the renovations/ decor changes of her home and the shop she owns in Fonthill, Ontario. It goes back many years, much before the shop was born. It is like one of those stacking dolls. It started with a couple of kids buying their forever home. It snowballed into renovations, which turned into garage shows and then a store. If you are new here, welcome! We are glad you stopped by.
