DUE TO THE ONE OF A KIND NATURE OF MOST OF OUR PRODUCTS,

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

PILLOWS HAVE A RETURN POLICY PLEASE READ BELOW.

Many of our products are made with vintage items, or are vintage themselves so please read descriptions and review photos carefully to avoid online shopping disappointment. Photos are zoomable and we do our best to describe everything we can. Please remember, vintage means the item is not new and therefore minor flaws from age are to be expected and appreciated.


SHIPPING POLICY

They're a fun day and sometimes an Olympic sport of vintage shopping. Orders are packed and processed within 3-5 business days (excluding weekends & holidays). Occasionally your order will leave next day and occasionally it will leave in 5 business days. It depends on when your order was placed and how close it falls to our next courier pickup day.

Your tracking number will show movement once it has been picked up from us and scanned by the courier. Any further details are now in their hands.

Where does my order ship from?
Your order is shipping from the storefront located in Fonthill, Ontario, Canada. We aim to have all packages out our door within 3-5 business days.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order will be shipped using courier [Canpar, UPS, etc] however, depending on your distance from us or if border crossing is involved orders will take between 3 and 10 business days to arrive. (Saturday and Sunday are not business days)

How is shipping calculated?
Shipping rates are as follows: 

  • In Canada: All orders have a flat rate of $15.00 as of May 2026
  • All order subtotals over $100 ship free within Canada (oversize items do not apply)
  • We do not ship to PO boxes. 
  • Flat rate means that no matter if your order is 5.00 or 250.00 it will all ship for the same rate unless you hit an oversize item. Packaging and postage cost small businesses money and we try to keep it as fair as possible across the board. We wish it could be free however that is just not our reality.

 *** Some exclusions apply (i.e. large/ heavy items) These items have a notation in their listings. Some oversize items need to ship alone and have an oversize shipping charge due to this factor. If one of these items is included in your order please note, we may be contacting you regarding shipping fees.***

Oliver and Rust does not currently ship or deliver large items such as furniture.

Where do you ship to?
We are currently shipping to Canada only.

Please note: Oliver and Rust is pausing all shipments to the USA. We are hoping this is short lived while it is sorted out and you will see some places on this site where it looks like we are still shipping. No USA shipments will be processed at this time - September 2025

What is included in shipping?
Your shipping fee includes the packaging and shipping to your door. Please note if you are not located in Canada, there may be customs, duties and brokerage fees applied to your order via your country’s customs border services that are the responsibility of the buyer and have no relationship to Oliver and Rust.

Can I order online and pickup in store?
Yes of course. Sometimes you see an item you just must have but can't make it into the shop for a few days. Please choose Store Pickup at checkout.

Please allow 48 hours for us to pull your order or indicate the date you wish to pickup and we will do our best to accommodate. You will receive a pickup notification when your order is ready.

Free local pickup is at the shop done during open hours only . Please check before making the trip as our storefront showroom hours are subject to change. We can hold your order for a maximum of 30 calendar days. After 30 days if no arrangement has been made, your order will be considered abandoned. A refund will not be issued.


RETURN POLICY

We know shopping online sometimes can be difficult and hope you love your purchase. We have limits on what can be returned and how. Please read and ask questions prior to your purchase to avoid disappointments.

Can I return my item?

Short version: Yes if it is a pillow. You have 10 days upon receipt to return your item for exchange or store credit.

All other items including vintage and giftware are considered final sale.


Longer version:
Please look carefully at photos and descriptions to avoid any disappointment with regards to size or condition.

If for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase we are happy to accept the return of any pillow in the exact condition in which it was received. Please contact us within 10 days to receive return address information. After 10 days a 15% restocking fee will be applied for returns. The buyer remains responsible for the costs to return any item. Please package the item in the manner it was sent to you. Damages in transit of return items are the customers responsibility and result in loss of credit.

DO NOT MAIL RETURN ANY PACKAGES TO OLIVER AND RUST STORE WITHOUT INSTRUCTION.

How will my return be processed?
Your return will be processed in the form of a gift card [store credit].

This credit never expires and will be available to use at your discretion. The store credit will be the cost of the item minus any shipping costs.

 **please know that Oliver and Rust is trying to do its part in reducing the amount of new cardboard and packaging that goes out into the world. Your order may arrive in a box that is not brand new and branded where possible but, reused from our own packaging to ease the burden on mother nature**
