Another month and another new pillow collection.
This collection really speaks my language with all the black and whites. It is super neutral and looks super breezy and casual for the spring and summer season but so much of it could be blended with darker neutral or bright and moody colour come fall and winter [blasphemy; let us not talk about those seasons right now as they cannot exist in my brain as we have waited for spring]
I had just gotten back from an vintage hunting trip when I was getting ready to take some lifestyle photos of this collection so I got to sneak in a bunch of great new vintage that has shown up in the store or will shortly. That table.....
It had me at hello but even better than those modern legs, if you want a little change you can fold the base up and hang the top as art. That's what I call multi-purpose.
Plus the dough bowl, the giant marble lamp..... the list goes on. It was a good trip of treasure.
Back to the pillows.
This collection kind of stemmed from the above chair. I found this beauty of an antique chair in a local shop but it was kind of hideous at the time. The fabric was super out dated however the construction from time just can't be beat so it got a facelift.
I chose a straight black and white ticking and as soon as it showed up in the store after the upholstery was complete, person after person asked if we had pillows in the same fabric and any other black and whites so this collection started to take shape.
And I had been hunting for the perfect dark almost olive green linen for my own space. A green that isn't too bright and not too dark so it could still appear to be summery.
So we welcomed moss green to the staple linens at Oliver and Rust.
1. Thelma 2. Moss green linen 3. Tennison 4.Grayson naga
And a little shelfie in the shop to share the combinations.
The above is my favourite combo and in fact the goldenrod pillow ended up on my green velvet chairs in my living room and I already mentioned my love of the moss linen.
Guess that means I should get my butt in gear and share my spring/summer living room here soon.
We are still working on our backyard project that I will share progress from soon and then the living room will appear.
Thanks for visiting everyone and enjoy your weekend.
