I scooped up a new dresser a few weeks ago and went straight to work on it. I even bypassed a few I had already started. oops.
Our spare bedroom dresser was desperately in need of reorganizing and short behind that was the closet in that room. We don't have closets in our hallways or bathrooms so the closet in this room is our linen, towel, suitcase, seasonal switchout pillow hoard (there are a lot of them) Adding a new dresser was a good excuse to stop procrastinating on that one.
I refinished this dresser in Annie Sloan paris grey and added white milk glass knobs.
I did some light distressing and used mostly Miss Mustard Seed antiquing wax which I am crossing my fingers will one day come in a larger size.
The green shutter by the chair is a recent acquisition from Hudson, NY.
The dresser reads a little blue in the photos but I swear it's grey.
I love the detail on the middle drawer and the top areas.
Before: Broken hardware and badly dripping re-stain/varathane job
Bedroom organized, closet organized and a pretty new dresser to boot.
The old wood dresser got added to the show pile for a future paint job.
Have a great Monday everyone,
