I know for some of you the Christmas spirit is dwindling with all the excess of decor, grouchy shoppers, long lines and non-stop holiday music. I, however am still getting my Mele Kalikimaka on. I had to postpone our basement tour this year as our tree stand was living at the Christmas market so we got our tree in the basement up quite late this year.
The first day of December I had some people asking me if the basement tour was going up this year and I am sorry I made you wait so long.
my christmas elf baking in front of the fire on his plaid basement bed. franklin isn't much of a fan of laying just on the floor. right from day one he needed something underneath him so he has beds all over the house. This way he doesn't use our furniture and beds as substitutes unless we call him up
our lovely real fraser fir. our tree has some great smell this year. our tree last year did not have a particularly christmas-y scent so i am happy we got that this year.
we decorate this tree together and keep it pretty simple. most of the stuff is clear snowflakes i collect, secondhand, or handmade. we had some grain sack tree ornaments and trev's silverware ornaments left from the show so we added them to the tree.
in our cruise of kijiji one night last week we came across a very old set of antique glass santa ornaments. i went to pick them up and was just ecstatic of their beauty. they look just wonderful on our vintage style tree.
i was mid wrap so i just left some of my supplies on the table
our "fun wrap" for trev's and my presents from target again this year. the red and white foxes are super fun.
my sister-in-law found the old wood easel for me and i still haven't found the perfect piece to put on it yet so used an old wood stop sign for the time being
Well I think that's it for my tour this year.
Thanks again for visiting.
Meg
