Put the ghouls away everyone. It's cold out today and I have a super exciting annoucement for all my local readers/ followers / vintage enthusiasts / and general shopping gangsters!
I am joining forces with a lovely lady out in Fenwick to host the first Christmas Vintage Market on Saturday November 29 from 9-3.
You have heard me mention Jess from Fleurish Designs in the past and she brainstormed an idea to pull together a Christmas market where she could sell her Christmas greens in the form of styled urn inserts, wreaths and even some centerpieces. She asked me to hop on board and of course I did like a steamroller as so many of you have asked me to start hunting vintage Christmas items. Now as if that weren't enough, we have also had some wonderful vendors in the area decide to join us. My absolute favourite soap store Harmony on West is coming, along with some fantastic signs from Apples & Honeycombs, gifts for the kiddos by Bows and Loops, and handmade knitting. I actually bought a scarf from the Heartmade Fibre team at Balls Falls last year so am stoked they will be joining so I can scoop myself another.
Now as if this isn't enough to drag you out into the cold. We will have treats and hot beverages to keep you warm as you find some wonderful gifts for your list of loved ones or throw the list to the reindeer and treat yourself.
We are asking our visitors to help us out with a non-perishable food item to contribute to our local food bank.
I will be bringing tons of vintage and antique goodies, pillows for the winter season in repurposed wools, golds and my new lines made from vintage mail bags and one-of-a-kind patchwork pillows. I have also been working on some wonderful holiday items, ornament wreaths, knit wreaths and antique grainsack stocking ornaments that I will share shortly once I dig a tree out to photograph them with.
Please feel free to share our ad, bring a friend or two.
Now as if this seriously wasn't enough to get excited about, this is only the first show. We are doing a second night show on Thursday December 11 with different vendors at the same location. Details on that night to come.
Have a great weekend everyone,
Meg
