I was featured, and some before and afters

So excited, I woke up walked to my computer, checked out some of the updates for blogs and was rolling through the furniture feature on Miss Mustard Seed and wow someone else has a bamileke container (a rather uncommon African artifact i have collected) too... oh my gosh that's my chair. How cool. I must say after only a month, I am thoroughly enjoying blogging. So many ideas.

Have you ever felt like you could live in certain stores? Is it just me? These stores I speak of give you the sense that you could just sit down and be content with your surroundings forever. Pottery Barn is one of those for me but, I recently came across 2 blogs about the publisher's stores and got that feeling of hand me my glass of vino and I'll find myself a footstool while you go put Stan Getz on.
Curious? Check out The Vintage Rose
I am really loving these marble pears:

The other store is The Curious Sofa

Check it out, someone already packed for me with all my french linens. Wonderful. Both of these stores are much to far away for me to visit but the dream and the joy of blog shopping.

Back in my house, the last piece of my laundry room pie arrived in the mail (wall decal from Surface Flick on etsy in my native Canada)

BEFORE(its ok you can say it, hideous.)

Just a little side note: house on the prairie border had already been removed and 2 gigantic unreachable wall cabinets above the washer and dryer removed. This room was my joy in purchasing the house "Yeah! main floor laundry" and then the bane of my existence because I had to store everything on the counters because I couldn't reach. Messy!

AFTER

i love this light fixture. it is actually a plug in fixutre i had my handy husband rewire to hardwire and i just made a jute webbing cord cover. very industrial chic i think.

Well that's all for today, off to reenter the world.
